i have a pair of kewood 12" typhoon subs they are svc 4 ohm. they have a max wattage of 800 and rms of 400. need help to coose an amp. lookong to spend $250 or less. |

Take a look at the jbl 600.1. That will give you 300 rms per sub or a kicke kx800.2 which will give you 400 rms per sub. |

I just got 2 12" subs and a amp...i know how to hook up the subs to the amp but no idea how to hook up the amp. i need help, preferably from davids2004...it sounds like he knows what hes talking about -thanks |

not a kx800.2 because theyre SVC 4 ohm, you'd onyl get about 200w rms to each sub get some sort of mono amp, MTX thunder801d, JBL bp600.1, hifonics bx750d, kicker kx600.1, phoenix gold tantrum 1200.1 etc... all put out around 600-800w rms at 2 ohms, all are mono channel amps by the way |

so if i was to get a 600 rms times 1 at 2 ohm how many watts would i be getting to each sub cuz i would like to get at least the 400 rms to each sub. |
