Can someone give me the skinny on this company? Are/were they somehow related to Zapco? I see from their websites the same guy designed both company's amps. |

Arc makes fantastic amps, but they have no affiliation with Zapco of which I am aware.
I have a commrade who's an Arc dealer though.

Go to www.arcaudio.com and look at who heads the design team on the main page on the left side. Then go to Zapco's page www.zapco.com and from the main page navigate to the company bio. You will see the same name....Robert Zeff. Figured not too many people are named Zeff so the companies must somehow be related. Arc might even be basically the same products minus all the fancy symbilink features. |

quite possibly. It'd explain the high quality from both companies.
That's not too uncommon really. Heck, Rockford Fosgate, PPI, and Orion were all started by the same three guys, too. Look at their track record from the 80s and 90s.
