I had an old Kenwood casette deck then a new Kenwood fold away CD player with CD changer. Both decks had no bass and the changer broke. It just makes me mad knowing I could have gone the pioneer route and had a much better sounding system. How can I make it better without buying subs? I don't want the extra wait, current draw, wiring, and lost cargo space, etc. |

Well, the speakers probably had no bass, I wouldn't blame that on the deck since you don't have a subwoofer. Kenwood is poor because of reliability issues, the sound quality isn't as bad as the reliability is (although IMHO it's not that great). You can listen to speakers of whatever size you can accomodate and see if you find something with decent bass, but they will never have the bass of a sub and amp. |
