I'm getting frequent false alarms from my recently installed alarm system. The flashing light code tells me that "Zone 2-Instant trigger-a heavier impact detected by shock sensor" caused the alarm. Is there any way to decrease the sensitivity of this shock sensor? I live out in the sticks and don't want to drive three hours to have the installer fix it. Thanks.

check the owners manual, most cliford shock sensors can be adjusted by the key chain remote. Yes I am serious. The IQ series, came with a water resistant remote, and a programing remote. All it took was a couple of clicks on the programing remote, and you could turn the sensitivity up or down as required.
