Does the fuse on the power cable affect the power the amp puts out at all? I have a Kicker kx 800.2 with an 80 amp fuse right now. However, my dad will be getting a new fuse/block tomorrow. Would it be better to get say a 100 amp fuse? Or should he just get another 80 amp fuse?

Fuse size doesnt matter. Its only there to protect the electrical system. This is the forula that I use for fuse size. For every 100 watts you need a 10 amp fuse. Or you can look at the fuses on the amps if they have one and match the fuse at the batter with those fuses.
