I'm kinda new to this plugging stuff into your car lark, but I bought a shiny (not too expensive) new amp and a pair of 6x9's for it to play with... Spent a few hours ripping my car apart and finally managed to get it all in nice and sweet! The speakers sound ace and the amp really gives them more juice and I'm dead impressed right up to the moment where I turn the ignition. Gone. Nada. Nothing. It seems that with the engine running, the amp spits its dummy out and refuses to play, instead preferring to sit in protected mode. Reading through the other posts in this forum, this is something to do with low voltage, right? But my logical brain tells me there would be MORE voltage available with the engine running??? HELP!!! |
