whenever i start my amp a red light flashes then it comes on like there is no prob. but that red light is not normal what is this? amp is audiobahn mono amp |

If its only for a second or two, this is likely caused by the amp not getting enough voltage when it first cuts on. How long is the light staying on? |

what makes you think this is abnormal? it may be a power-on delay to avoid a thump in the speakers caused by an initial power surge. or, it may just be another wonderful audiobahn defect.

Yeah, sorry, I was pretty vague on that. What I meant was that if his amp is showing red only for a few seconds after it cuts on that it was prolly just a power on delay where it cuts voltage to avoid a surge when it first powers up. My Alpine and Jensen (yeah, suck, I know) both show red for a second when they cut on and it is normal. |

yeah Matt, that was why I was asking why he thought it was abnormal, seeing that. I was trying to see if he's just assuming, or if he has other amps of the same model that act differently.
