I just purchased (2) dvc 4ohm kicker 12" l7. Now i have to buy an amp. I am choosing between a kicker 1200.1 or alpine v12 1000watt. i plan on getting an alpine 9833 for the HU. Which would be better. Maybe recommend some others i may have overlooked in the 300-400 price range. would go for a memphis 1500 if i could find one

that kicker is your best bet
that'll give ya 600 watts per sub at 1 ohm.
wire coils and subs in parallel
