Thread: Is this a good system of should i get more subs |

i have a 400watt pioneer and a 800watt sony exploid both 12" also i have a alpine v12 4 channel amp hooked up to a kenwood kdc 1611 i believe. if anyone could help me on whats the best way to hook to a 4 channel amp that would be great. |

i used to have a 4 chanel to 2 15"S i brigdged it and ran the sub at 2 ohms it sounded nice |

Justin I dont think hooking those 2 subs up to that amp would be a good Idea unless there both the same ohm loads If they are try bridging them |

suggestion: keep the alpine amplifier, sell everything else, and get better gear. sony, kenwood, suck. pioneer is so-so at best for subs. Look at a parir of 12" or 15" subs from eD, Kicker, or Adire. Any of these would be a massive leap in quality and sound, not to mention in SPL. Then, you can use the alpine for fronts/rears, and go with a Cadence, JBL, or Kicker amplifier for the subs.. Using two 4 Ohm single coil subs, you can use a mono osub amp at 2 Ohms.
