Both the Rockfordfosgate & Kikcker amps are excellent but the RF is a 4 ch and the Kicker is a mono amp and would be use in differant applications. More info about your intended system would help ! Audiobahn has been descussed on other threads on this site and is not recommended for those reasons. regards GK

A mono amp only puts out one channel which makes them great for subs and no the kicker is a mono amp. No about hooking them up it all depends on this: How many subs you get How many voice coils each of them has The ohm rating of the voice coils. Depending on what your working with you will have to use a certain type of amp. here use this webpage it has a wiring diagram for common ohm sub ratings http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/S-qXNTJGsFxKv/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wi ring.html

your not going to have 1 ohm speakers you need to look in each section on the left side of the picture itll say an ohm rating with nothing else by it this is what ohm rating the amp should have. for example if you look under 2 subwoofers and click dual voice coil - 4 ohms X 2 youll see that you can run them off of a 1 ohm amp |

ok this is the ratings: 4 ohm stereo = 300 X 2 2 ohm stereo = 600 X 2 1 ohm stereo = 900 X 2 4 ohm mono = 600 X 1 2 ohm mono = 1200 X 1 1 ohm mono = 2400 X 1

you need to figure out what subs you want first its much easier to get an amp based on the subs you want. So do you know what and how many you want if so that info is needed in order to go any farther. what i am going to be running is 2 subs that are 4 ohm single voice coils a peice so i will need a mono amp that runs at 2 ohms. tell us what subs you want or have. |

its easy look at that chart i sent you under 2 subs 4ohm X 2 that will should how to wire them and what the ohm load on the amp is. then you should find a mono amp that puts out the same wattage as your two subs combined at the ohms you wanna run. I would recommend a 1 ohm set up so now just find the amp that has the right wattage and your all set. |
