I have a pioneer CD player in my car. Are their head units quality compared to others like sony, panasonic, keenwood. Does the head unit have anything to do with the overall sound quality of a system? All opinions welcomed |

Pioneer head units are probably second only to Alpine and Eclipse in sound quality and second to none in the Price vs Quality factor. Overall SQ has to do with almost all the basic components installed in your system (speakers, amps, wiring, sub, ect.) but a good head unit is essencial. What model Pioneer is it? |

I'm not sure which model it is. The one circuit city sales the cheapest, lol. But its a 4x50watt. like most HUs. I was thinking of switching to an alpine HU since I have 2 Type R's. What's the best alpine HU for the price? Thanks |
