Thread: Sony F5700 - Only Subs play during CDs, all speakers during FM tuner |

Alright so I just bought new 4" rear speakers and a rockford 201s amp and a rockford 10" sub for my 1995 BMW M3. I got it all hooked up on my own, and it works just fine when I play the radio. But when I turn on a CD, ONLY the sub plays - the interior speakers are silent. Is there ANYTHING that I might be doing wrong? Again, all the speakers including the sub play just fine when I'm listening to the radio. If anyone has any answers, please email me at sansari@gwu.edu.

you have the speakers connected to an amplifier.
you have a sony head unit
you connected your interior speaker amplifier to the "PWR ANT" lead (blue) instead of the REM lead (blue/white)
the PWR ANT only sends 12V when the radio is playing. Not the CD.
easy fix.
