As far as brand I'd say go Alpine. The best depends on what features you are looking for and the functionality of it for you, the user. There are of course a few keys features you will want, like 4 volt pre-outs. |

but take yourself to walmart and buy one of the 2 pioneer head units they sell in there.
great head units for your price range |

X2 Kenwood so long as it has USB capability...
Pioneer deh-5100ub (iirc) 2nd choice..
Just don't like Alpine's interface.. never have.. But you should still get Yank's Alpine.. Just to help a brother out.. |

If your looking at Kenwoods, check out the Excelon line.. Like the x493 x693 x993 or any of the x792 x892
The higher the number the better. |
