I have a elemental desings amp, specs-
elemental design
Nine.1
Model Name : NINe.1 Amplifier
RMS Power @ 12.5v :
1200W x 1 @ 1 Ohm
900W x 1 @ 2 Ohm
450W x 1 @ 4 Ohm

Was pushing my 12" kicker L7, 750 watts rms 1500 peak.

pounded good for couple of months.
one day it started to make wierd sound at low volume. sound ok at high but that didnt last long.
sub dont work and is stiff! anyone know the cause of this. is the amp too much power for the rms.
sub was wired 2ohm to the 1ohm stable load!
any suggestions?

your making no sense lol

even at 900rms @ 2ohm it is over the limit for the l7

and at 1ohm .. its well over the limit..

if you know what your doing you might be fine over-powering that sub IF the enclosure is built to specs and it is a clean unclipped signal.. and you don't abuse the setup trying to make it do something it was not designed to do

you have a nice amp.. time to get a nice sub

No personal experience with these subs but I always heard great things about them

2 dual 2ohm wire it to a final 2ohm 450wrms per sub

Or

x2 on the Re SE's. Should be a great match. Did you have the gain set correctly on the amp? That could have been part of the problem for the blown sub.
