**Calling out Steve Miller & RD Audio**

Steve, we've already seen quite a bit from you about the fact that you have stayed with the same buildhouse as your v1 amps and that the quality has actually increased overall - readers, please reference Steve's post on CA.com for this information. Lies #1 and #2 right there. You're not with Zenon anymore. You decreased cost and went with a lower quality buildhouse in China. For Christ's sake, your boxes say Made in China on them. Puhhhlease?

I'm not going to be the total @$$hole and give up the buildhouse you're working with now. BUT

COULD YOU STOP LYING TO US ALREADY?!? On October 10th you launched your presale for the 2200v2's over on CACO. See: http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19489 In your presale post, you claim your amps do over TWO THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED WATTS AT 14.4 - spelled out for emphasis. Folks, thats 2800+ w RMS at 1 ohm a 14.4v that is being claimed. Steve, your own freaking buildhouse even states the following:

RMS @ 1 Ohm(<1% DISTORTION) 2300W

Here's where you're going to claim I'm full of crap. So let's just get down to it shall we? I'm not. I know exactly where your amp is coming from, who is building it, etc. It's a stock design - you didn't even purchase your own heatsink tooling. Just used what they had - perfectly fine. But stated for the purpose of...I know what I'm talking about. The following is what your buildhouse states. Of all parties involved, they have every reason to overstate their claims in an attempt to improve their sales. They still state the following though:

RMS @ 1 Ohm(<1% DISTORTION) 2300W
RMS @ 2 Ohm(<1% DISTORTION) 1600W
RMS @ 4 Ohm(<1% DISTORTION) 904W
Frequency Response 15Hz~270Hz
S/N Ratio >80dB
THD <0.15%
Input Level 0.2-6V
LPF 35Hz~270Hz
SUBSONIC Filter 15Hz~35Hz
Bass Boost Level 0~9dB
Components & PCB Double Side Board
Dimension(L x W x H) 453 x 250 x 70mm

So Steve, can you stop lying to us already? Please? It's getting old. I will not reveal any other info regarding your amplifiers so long as you admit the discrepancies you've stated. Your buildhouse will be kept a secret. No other info will be revealed. I won't even take this to other more-trafficked forums. Continue to lie though, and I promise you're gonna have a much larger issue on your hands - especially when some of the other forums get involved. Enough is enough.

IF YOU WANT TO CLAIM 2800+w RMS - PROVE IT. Clamp your 2200v2 for all to see. If it really does the power you claim, then you'll have surprised us all and you can go show off the video to everyone from eCoustics, to CA, to CACO, etc.

Lastly, if this amp does 2800+w as you claim....why the heck did you build a 3250v2?

Folks, I'm not here to attack the amp. I'm sure the amp will produce output according to the buildhouse's specifications listed above. The amp is probably fine. It's the claims that Mr. Miller and RD Audio are making that I have a problem with.

Stop lying Steve.

what was the distortion at the rated 2800watts? Maybe he was just saying at higher distortion it will produce more power, which is true isn't it?

Amps aren't rated at 10%+ THD these days...they're rated at 1% or lower. But if Steve decided to rate at some abnormally high and audible level of distortion (like what you're suggesting), then his claimed power is thoroughly deceptive and cause for major concern.

i thought that if you have a ported or BP box, you set the SS filter to the same frequency the port is tuned to, to cut off frequencies below your tuning.

this stops your sub from unloading, correct?

i have a box tuned to 40 hz....i know 5 hz probably isnt a big deal but i wouldnt want to run the risk of my sub blowing up

im not sure though........

Looks like someone was too late on the pre-order and is a little angry.

Most Subsonic Filters I've every seen are 10-35hz or 15-35hz.

Not sure why a SUBwoofer amplifier would need to be cutoff any higher then 35hz let alone 70hz.

My 6.5's in my doors go down to 45 hz themselfs lol.

daniel, i guess that is unusual. most do go higher, but if your box isnt tuned that high, why even need a setting for that high? seems like it would be for more sq purposes or just some low tuned daily systems.. idk, i maybe be a big idiot...

i thought my 3250 was 10-60

i doubt 5hz below port tuning would be a huge deal but i just thought it was odd, as i was under the impression that most amps went up to 60 or 70

i read that entire first post just to realize that i wasted my time and that you are b!tching over 500w. Im no fan of RD but its something else to see people feel so butthurt about things to try thier best to put together a well thoughtout post to slam a company.

newsflash! RD isn't the first company to lie!

look at my posts bud and anyone who called about the new amps. I stated plenty it is new build house.

You cant even buy zenon 3000w amps at the price i am selling them.

OH and yes the 2200v2 does 28xx . The 1800.1 is the one thaT does 2300.

fuuny how you create a name on a forum you think your ip cant be pulled.

So please read what i wrote or told people. At 425 its not a zenon amp but it does as good. Secondly yes the 2200 does 2800 it is the 1800 that does 2300. OH thats because the 2200v2 is new from build house and we are first to use it. Please do a little more research before you run your mouth and try to call someone out.

third never once said it was zenon amp and stated many times we went to diff build house to offer more affordable line.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO KNOW?

1000.1 = 1350+ = rated 1000w

1750 = 1900+ = rated 1750w

1800.1 = 2300+ = rated 1800w

2200 = 2800+ = rated 2200w

3250 = 3350+ = rated 3000w

d5 = 3800+ = rated 2000w

d9 = 5400+ = rated 3600 w

Thought I would correct your statement here. Amps are rated at <1%THD, but at 4 ohm. You are comparing a 1 ohm load to a 4 ohm THD rating.

I'm sure some will clamp one of the v2's... Instead of acting like a pr!ck coming on a forum to talk sh_it, just buy an amp and get it tested ... The correct way, by an unbiased third-party then call him out if you are right... That way you won't come across as a whiny b!tch hiding behind a BS name... As you do now.

I haven't seen the previews for it yet, but .... (at the risk of dating myself) There was an episode of Albert Hitchcock that was almost exactly like what was described a few post's ago... The box had a button... The proposal was a large sum of money if he pushed the button, and someone who he did not know and have never met would be killed... That button and the thought of all that money drove the guy crazy. He eventually pushed the button... He wanted that money... If you know anything about Alfred Hitchcock and how he ended the show, he ended this one by the guy who made the proposal congratulated him on the money he was gonna recieve.. Now he didn't have to stress over the decision anymore... Then as he's leaving, he says something like, "Well, I gotta go... The deed has been done and you have your money... Now you can get you some rest... I've just got to drop this button off to someone else.................Someone that you do not know...and have never met".. Then the credits rolled.. I liked that episide.. Think it was my 2nd favorite. My Favorite was a little more twisted and threw me for a loop back then..

Ha Looks like the original subject took a sharp turn from a guy full out fussing about a company, to what movies are out.

As Phil said, "RD isn't the first company to lie!" It should not be a huge surprise a company may bend the truth a bit. Not taking any position weather they did or did not however I would like to think RD is a respectable company.

This thread would have been more productive if the op had brought the issue to our attention with a valid debate/discussion to uncover the truth, rather than a blatant attack on the company.
