Well right now I have a Elemental Designs 13av.2 sub dual 4, in a 1.3cu sealed box. Its running off a soundstream pcx 1500d amp. Which i'm not really happy with seems kinda chinzy, but it was cheap at the time i got it for 234.00 with free shipping so I though it was a good deal. But anyway, I would like to upgrade it to something more effiencient and with lower THD. I have been looking at the Arc Audio KS 1000.1 or the US amps MD-2D amp. Any other suggestions, running the sub a 2ohms right now. Like to keep budget at or around $500ish. I really like wooferects so thats were i'm budgeting and seeing prices

As far as the USamps MD2d i would stay away from it. Most of the people on this forum would say im crazy for that comment but in 2009 there has been a lot of problems out of the merlin series of amps. My vendor told me they shipped out 20 and 19 of them came back. Could be a bad batch or something. check out atomicspeakers.com look at the 1600.1
