I was given a JL audio 1000/1 that needs repair. I was wondering if there is anywhere that I can send the amp to be repaired that will be cheaper than sending it to JL audio?

cheaper? probably. The trick is that companies like JL sand the part numbers off of the ICs on their boards so you have to send the items to them for repair. Nobody else but authorized repair centers have the schematics.

So my only option is to take it to my authorized JL dealer and pay $200 for the repair?
