I wanna hear what amps are most widely favored in car audio. What brands do you suggest? No arguing, just post your favorite brand. I need a good brand and an amp that pushes 1000w RMS @ 1ohm @ 12-14watts. I hear AQ 1200s are good, MA audio is not great, Maxxonix is decent...but we all agree you get what you pay for. I want to know the loopholes, (I want to pay little, get more!) Any suggestions are welcome |

I always thought the RF 1000.bd was a nice solid 1000 rms amp. Very powerful. Not sure how easy they are to come across now adays though. I've also been impressed with the U.S. Amps md.1d. Seems to be very efficient for the power it puts out. |

http://www.atomicspeakers.com/ They don't allow sales online in the USA so if you find online sales they are from over seas. or Canada. Depending on where you live I can direct you to a dealer. |

I'm a sucker for the PPI PC series amps (NOT the PCX series). 100% USA made. |

My favorite amps are old school Orions and PPIs. Specifically the Orion HCCA G4s though. Jexx, why dont you like the PCX series? They were made in the USA too. |

I do actually like the PCX series provided they WERE made in the USA. That's when PPI started to transition, and I've seen quite a few PCX's manufactured overseas. Just as a precaution (since others don't know the difference), I just tell them to avoid the PCX series, though it doesn't necessarily mean they're all bad. ;) |

Really? Hmm I never knew that about the PCX series. I always thought all the PCX were all made in USA. I thought that was the last line made in USA before they sold out. Maybe the ones you have seen were refurbs? |
