I have a 96 Civic HB, running a 180 amp ohio generator alternator, and 2 Optima D51R yellow tops, 1 under the hood, 1 in the back. Amps; 1 JL 1000/1v2, and 2 300/2v2's. Problem--evidently the alternator only charges at higher rpm's, and i only drive the car 15 minutes one way, twice a day. that's all. I've been told that the batteries, since they are deep cycle, are not getting properly charged, because the battery light on my gauge cluster is constantly coming on, and if i let the car sit over a day it won't start. I've had them replaced and charged more than once. What battery combination should i be running??? |
