and im wondering which amp would be good for either of these speakers.

ppl have told me either this sound stream amp

http://www.woofersetc.com/p6750/TRX4300--Soundstream-4-Ch-300-Watt-Amplifier.htm

or this one

i'd be bridging either of these amps.

P.P.I. does make some nice components but the tweeters for me just are not bright enough, look on ebay for the price you want to spend you can get a nice set of Boston sl60's or if your lucky a good set of the german made mb quart pce 216's Both way better then the PPI's.

Also ADS and the HCCA orions are very nice with a good solid mid-bass driver.

The alpine amp you have is a great choice for the price amazing, just remember you are buying S.Q. quality components so you want to get an amp that will provide clean signal at 4ohms. Comp's at 2 ohms just sound awful.

Anyway just some friendly advice and good luck.

Sound Stream is known for better clearity and alpine well it's alpine. Note the "Tri-guard amplifier protection" this is power surge and thermal overload protection that the alpine will not offer also most alpine do not use dual or tri-mode (2 Ohms front speaker and 4 Ohms rear speaker = dual mode) the SoundStream you picked hands down is better than the alpine. for these two reasons.

P.S.
I learned that Alpine does not do dual mode the hard way :-( the poor amp (MRP-F250) was so hot that I could not even touch it for 30 mins after it fried.
