some people say that it is bad to run the power cable next to the rca cables can that really be bad?

it's pretty much been proven that while in theory people can argue for EM/RF noise, the truth is that at low volume, there isn't enough current going through the lines to cause any interference, and at high power/high volume, what little noise could be introduced, would not be even close to audible over the music.

tldr; you can run them together.

the trouble comes when you run close to crossovers or other automotive electrical sources, like ignition systems.
