So I've noticed my voltage is a bit low at idle, aka around 12.5v.....and it only gets worse on really hot days. I'm assuming it's going bad and I'll prob get re-tested sometime before summer is over.
If I need a new alt, I was thinking of going a bit larger anyway. Right now I'm in between MCR and DB.
At MCR I can get a 160amps max, don't know the idle, for $180 right now, prob $190 when I have the money.
At DB I can get a 200amps max, 105amps idle alt for $220.
My question, which is the better quality choice?

Both are good but get the DB. More power for the price. |

yeah that's really what I'm leaning toward. plus the 200amp alt could benefit me in the future once I start modifying to engine and the rest of the vehicle. |
