I asked about the best shallow subs before, now i need a sub or subs for my new car.
1 or 2 or more it doesn't matter, lol.
I have a JL 1000/1 so it will pump 1000 watts anywhere from 1.5 to 4 ohms.
My question is which would be best for my car?
I like loud but i also want to retain the sound quality.
On this amp what would be best?
Its going in a LeSabre. ha
3 tens, 2 twelves, 1 fifteen, eighteen?
Throw some ideas out there.
Thanks in advance.

By the way, I would like to keep the budget around $200. More if needed, don't have a problem w/ used as long as its from a reputable dude.

How much are the Digital Designs and where could I order them from?
The DDAudio website will only show me the nearest DD Dealer, which just happens to be 100 miles from me... ha

I was hoping someone would mention the SSD. There is someone around here selling a Dual 1 ohm SSD12 for 100. I wasn't sure about the sound quality of that model.

The new Alphas are priced around 300 shipped.

The now come stock with a 8 layer flat wind either d2 or d1. They use HW cones and a single spider. They are 1000-1250 rms and have a low fs around 25hz now.

the original alpha sounded great but these sound way better and cost less than before.

Those sound pretty good as well.
My options that I'm looking at look something like this.
DD 1512 ($???)
Fi ssd12 ($100 Used)
New model Alpha ($300 +- New)
Alpine Type X 12 ($150 Used)
Right now i am leaning towards the Alpine and the ssd... I can get them at a decent price I have owned a Type X and was happy with it. Fi has a very good rep for solid products.
Any more options or opinions on what I should choose?
Anyone out there looking to sell a good SQL in my budget?

Alright, so i am pretty much sold on 2 RE SE's, now the speakers, i've asked before on my truck, but sadly the day has come and i sold it.
The sizes are on my car are as such,
4X6 dash
6 1/2 front doors
6X9 rear
I am picking up an Alpine 9855 for my HU.
I would also like to know a reasonable dual amp kit to go with for a JL 1000/1 like i mentioned before and a 300/4.
Thanks for helping me so far, its greatly appreciated.

I think RE SEs are over rated. or it ould be the fact that every car in my town has them and im tied of them. They sound good but i had a single AQsdc2.5 in a 3cft box @ 34hz on 1300wrms and it was night and day louder and cleaner than the to SEs. I know people will not believe me but its the truth.
