I have two 12" Type R's that I have wired to 4 ohm, my question has to do with the jumpers. I got these on a trade, and it was wired to 1 ohm, I looked at the wiring and saw that one jumper was positive one was negative... Do I even need the jumpers to wire them or can I just use regular speaker wire? Would it help/hurt anything wiring one way or the other? Thanks |

To clearify the question I have, I would like to know if I need to use the jumpers Alpine gives with the subs or if it even matters. Thanks for the response Brad, sorry the question wasn't asked clearly. |

You could use regular speaker wire, but why wouldn't you just use the jumpers that came with them? |

I am a little OCD when it comes to speakers. I don't like having two different types of wire. The rest of the speaker wire I am using is Monster 12 Awg. I don't think it makes a difference, but if I can use regular wiring instead i'd prefer it. lol |
