can all head units turn stock subs off or does the head unit need an equilizer? |

You usually needs an amplifier. HU normally can't drive subs real well. |

DAVID, anonymous is right, there is a light blue wire comeing off the back of the head unit and that is used to power up an amp. Head units don't give off enough power to run a sub, u need to get an amp. And as soon as u do then u can put in a toogle switch on the remote wire. |

DAvid usually there are some Head Units which have subwoofer Controls just look around for one of them. Jeremy there are many Head Units that are out now that have a Amplifier output wire which removes the process of installing a Toggle switch I dont understand why you would want one If you dont have to have it. |
