Can somebody help me with radio code in HONDA CIVIC 2002 , serial U3001L4026 or 30014026. Please
The majority of HONDA radios are made by ALPINE or MATSUSHITA plus a few BLAUPUNKT and PIONEER and many of the codes (including yours ) will not be available from any of these free Help Boards.
I can provide a free code for many of the following :
FORD , BLAUPUNKT , most PHILIPS , most GRUNDIG , many BECKER , a few PIONEER some ALPINE..and the CLARION with Serial Number beginning with C7000000-----
I can NOT provide codes for... radios fitted in most VOLVO or AUDI/VW...or
most CLARION , DELCO , most MATSUSHITA ,most PIONEER , VDO/SIEMENS , MITSUBISHI ,FUJITSU , VISTEON , JVC , KENWOOD ,SONY
Also please note that many of the car manufacturers AUDI ,HONDA , BMW , VW , VOLVO ,ACURA ,FIAT , MG/ROVER , VAUXHALL , CITROEN , RENAULT , SKODA and lots more only affix their badge on another manufacturer`s radio so make sure you quote ALL the details found on your radio so that it can be identified........ |

And....as you have already been told , this code will NOT be available from any of these free Help Forums.
PHILIPS codes are not calculated like some makes ( eg Ford ) but are derived from a database. As you can imagine , the full PHILIPS database contains millions of Serial Numbers/Codes and consists of many thousands of Megabytes. Consequently it is only held by the Main Dealers or the very big Decode Specialists . It is very expensive and not available to the smaller decoder, whether amateur or professional. The normal database held by anyone on these free Help Forums (including myself ) is only a fraction of the large database and mainly covers the pre 2000 Philips codes. Even this small database software costs nearly £200..and is definitely not available on any of the cheap Ebay Decoder CDs.
Unfortunately ( unless you are very lucky then you will have to PAY to obtain this code from one of the Professional Radio Decoder Specialists or the Rover Main Dealer .
If the code can not be decoded using the Serial Number, then the radio will have to be physically opened up and the memory chip (EEPROM) electronically read using specialist kit.
Sorry , but some things just aren`t free...not even on the internet |

I believe it is the letter O ....unfortunately it makes no difference to the calculation so I don`t think I can help you any further as I cannot calculate any other 4 digit code apart from the one given..
Sorry ..it will have to be your Main Dealer or a Radio Decode Specialist.
You could try your local car radio shop who sometimes have access to the Main Dealer database.(but it won`t be free though !) |

Well I managed to find a code meanwhile, but now I have a problem with inputing it. I did manage typing it in three times. But now it doesnt allow me to input it. I tried pressing AS and the turning the radio on while the ignition is on but it doesnt displat the four empty spaces. So I cannot type it in. Have you got any idea how can I fix that? I will be very grateful if you help me. |
