Volvo do not make radios ...they only affix their badge to well known manufacturer`s radios so the radio will have to be identified before any code can be calculated (or not)

Please post the radio MAKE + MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS , BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING.

Help with Radio Code:

I killed the battery on my Z3 and found out that the security code in the owners manual doesn't work. I even pulled the head unit and took it into the dealer. For some reason they can't figure out it out. Info from unit label:

BMW Business CD
6512 - 6 909 885
BP0273 3 9990937
FD043 Index 45

(Sorry if this is a repeat...I posted a note two days ago but can't find it. I might have tried to put it on a locked thread.)

Thanks. I did try the code.

The unit expects 5 numbers. I tried 1154 and the unit just waits.

I tried 11541, 11542, 11543 and now have the timed lock out.

What you have is a dual code BMW that accepts both four and five digit codes depending whether it is switched for Europe (4 digit) or USA (5 digit).

If you email restoredclassic@aol.com then they will be able to tell uou how to sort this out.

Please do not keep posting the same request in different threads !
