We replaced the front door speakers in 2000 camaro. The old sprakers had 2 sets of wires to ea., 1 for tweeter in coax, 1 to mid/base. The new Pioneer TS61642R have connections for 1 set so not knowing what was positive wire from exist, system we connected both striped wires from exist system to striped (pos) at new speaker, and same with solid wire. The speakers have a crackeling sound at mid level power getting worse with more power. Any sugestions?

Disconnect that right away before you destory both the speakers and amplifier.

You need a set of component speakers to connect there, coxials will not work..... Of course it would be better to just ditch the factory amplifier and HU.
