Looking for recommendations for a box for a 12" TC-3000 or LA storm. I currently have in a 2.6cf box tuned to ~30hz with a 32.5sq inch slot port. I'm throwing 1200w at it (AQ1200D) in the trunk of a 98-02 body grand prix, sub up port back. I'm looking for a really flat, clean response. I was thinking about 2-2.25cf tuned around 30-32hz with about ~28sq inch slot port. Any thoughts?

Anyone think there would be a frequency response difference from sub up as compared to sub back?

Any responses are greatly appreciated

What about it are you not currently satisfied with?

Looks to me, if that box is not giving you a correct response it may be time to try a sealed.....

I wish it hit the higher notes a bit harder, like the 50hz and up. I was thinking about going sealed, but I don't know if it will have the output I want.

I still need to get my EQ installed, that should make a bit of a difference as well.

I'll probably try that next. Then maybe decrease the box volume, and eventually lower port area to compensate, just trial and error. Gotta love chopping up old boxes lol. Did you ever try a different size box with it?

I'm thinking a T-line once it warms up enough...but idk.

I only had it in the 2.5 @32hz box it sounded great, i didnt hear any dips in certain frequencies..

I did mount it reverse and it didnt sound as good due to the increased volume
