I know a lot of you all are good with computers and a good chance may also be audiophiles so I'm looking for some advice on buying a external sound card for my laptop computer. I've been searching the web but I cant find anything for vista. I read mixed reviews about creative labs sound blaster products and good reviews about Audiotrak. Can anyone help?

I would prefer to run RCA outputs to my Cambridge Azur 540.

Creative has always made top of the line audio equipment. The sound blaster line has dominated audio cards since the 90s.... although there is other good stuff out there now.

But for your case you can't go wrong with a USB soundblaster. Or cardbus or expresscard if your laptop has that.
