I wondering what I should do, I'm in the process of building my new system for my 1995 bmw 318i sedan. I want to use new model re xxx 12. Just wondering if I would be better off with 1 or if I should push it and try to pull off two.

i'm trying to get the loudest, and clean sound out of the re xxx, I know box wise, it will be running alittle small for it's top output. With that in mind for just one sub, thats why i'm thinking i would be pushing it with 2. plus room for the batts. Just wanted some second opinions.

One subs in the correct box space is far better than 2 subs in a too small box.

i don't understand why you'd want to tear apart your bmw, but ok.....

and the weight? .... let me guess.. you want some 24s too?

No 24's for me, maybe some 18's later. I'm not trying to tear the bmw apart either.

All you need is a single 10" or 12" at most. Theres nothing worse than seeing some kid go by in a beemer with the car rattling to shìt.
Leave the rims alone too.

Phil I agree. This after making this tread I'm gonna go with a single 12. I'm gonna take my time to make this audio upgrade a very good one. As far as the rims I am probably gonna get aftermarket rims that are made by bmw.

Thats a good choice going with a single sub. It will keep you out of trouble with the alternator too if you dont get power hungry.

Still going to upgrade my electrical cause running a 4k amp with a 4 channel for the front stage would just make sense for getting the best signal I can, and plus a xxx 12 is a little power hungry from what I have heard and read.

4k Max cause the xxx is 4k peak so considering rms is about half 2k would then be all I would push on it. So you are correct that I wouldn't run 4k to it. Just matching peak to peak.
