Volvo do not make radios; they only "badge" other manufacturers (Usually ALPINE , MITSUBISHI ,DAEWOO, DELCO , PHILIPS )
so the unit will have to be removed from the dashboard in order to quote the radio MAKE and MODEL plus ALL the NUMBERS and LETTERS found on any LABELS, BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASE.
However ,you will find that these free Help Boards (including myself) will have limited success with codes for Volvo radios and only be able to calculate them for the two or three PHILIPS and maybe an odd ALPINE and MITSUBISHI model....so being honest , it may be quicker + easier to pay for a code from your Main Dealer or one of the professional Radio Decode Specialists
Supplying Volvo vehicle VIN /MODEL numbers is not the normal , relevant information required when attempting to calculate the code ......however this information may be required if you seek the code from your Main Dealer as they will most likely have a code database based on vehicle reference numbers and not radio serial numbers. |
