does anyone have any experience with 8". Just asking because IM thinking about either 2 dd 1508's or 2 ss rl-i's im kinda sick of the lows in my car and want to go with some punchy bass lines for a bit. |

You should still run subs and use 8"s for midbass...... Sub/midbass crossover around 70 Midbass/component mid crossover at 500-1k That would be the best. But the 8"s have to be up front in order to not fukkk up the soundstage. |

Ya i know what you mean but I have no place in my car to put 8" upfront I have a little eclipse the 6.5"'s barely fit. I also want to free upo some trunk space I have 1 15" sub back there. IM running out of romm lol. between the box, amps, and xovers my car is full lol I dont know what to do anymore maybe I just need to pull everything out of my car again and do it over |

I think the RL-i are cleaner, and still got louder than I expected for 8s. As for the DD, I did not use it in the right install situation, and it still got fairly loud. It was in a small sealed box, which is not DD material ...but it still sounded pretty good. I would not hesitate to use either of them. |

Good choice, 10"s are the smallest speaker I would use for sub bass |
