Thread: Need subs 12" 1500rms each |

looking for a pair of 12's that will take 1500-1600 daily, each. 2 cubes ported each would be nice but i could do 2.5 if needed.
thinking of getting loaded bl's but i am concerned they wont get loud enough since they are only really 1000 rms. |

2 soundsplinter rl-p. not only will it get loud but sound clean.
my other choice would be a pair of rd sonance 12s. i have a pair of 10s in my car with 1200wrms and it hits. not only does it hit but sound clean too. so i couldn only imagine what a pair of 12s would do with 1500wrms. |

thats a great deal - its going to be hard to beat the alphas
as for the BLs or the FI Q, with BP power they will take 1500 RMS |

i would say scotts alphas are one of the better deals your gonna find for what your looking for...they dont need big boxes so 2 cubes would work well im sure...
also i gotta HDC3 12" w/alum coils FS for 200 plus shipping...just thought id throw that out there lol |

if ur lookin to buy second hand i got 2 re audio mx's. 12" 1 ohm dvc. i bought them about 5 months ago, one of them is still sittin there not used. not sure how much there worth or anything maybe someone can tell me what i can sell them for? |

iam no expert but i got just 1 mx in a 2 cube box with 45 sq" of port area tuned at 35 hz and my buddy got 2 re sx's in a 4 cube box tuned at 35. my mx gets just as loud, i got a rockford fosgate T2000 and he got a kicker zx1500. i find the only difference is his hits the higher freq a lil better while mine hits the lows better. either way the subs are in perfect condition, but like i said if u do decide iam not sure how much there worth, i paid 1200 new(that included shipping). |

scott i have a pair of re sx 12's. are the alpha's single or dual spider's
wayne so one of the subs is unused and the other is used? well if the mx gets loud ad you say it does i might take them but if you cant match 440 shipped then im prob gonna go with the alphas because they are basically new as far as im concerned. |

Mark, i have two 12" alphas in a 4cuft box at 32hz, each running of a Nine.1. I have been very happy with their performance. It is definatly a very good sounding sub that can get loud. I hit 144.3 this past summer in a trunk car. I would like, however, to redo my box. Scott has recommended alittle larger box and higher tuning frequency for more spl. They are the best subs I have owned and would recommend them to you. |

it will run .5 and you will need good electrical. they clamped that amp at 3400w at .5ohm and still 84% eff. |

i got 2 vfls that are still in great shape never been over powered at all and are dual 4s 1500 rms 3k peak i can do 400 on em like advertised just send me something if interested |
