My 97 Honda Civic was running great and my battery died. I jumped started my car and unhooked the jumper cables and my car stopped running. I have a Viper 500 ESP system. I there something I can do to get my car running again. Is there a way to disarm the security unit? If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Is there a link to down load a manual for a Viper 500 ESP. Thanks, Tim Dooley

Seems like it's a problem with your alternator. The second cars battery was supplied voltage to run your vehicles ignition and fuel injectors.. removing it, removed this 'power' and the existing alternator should have kept it running.
Maybe not the best way to explain it, but if the vehicle ran while it has another battery connected to it then the alarm should have no effect over it..

Have a good mechanic check the Civics charging system.
