jimmo, I sent you a PM, but if you have questions email me back. In your price range there are quite a few to look at. I wouldn't spend that money though from a website that isn't an authorized dealer for those sets though. But email me at sales@alteraudiousa.com and i can help out. Thanks

Hybrid makes a nice set. I believe it's close to $500 though if not more for the Clarus. At that price, there's tons of great options...and frankly you need to get picky with what you like in speakers to narrow it down further. Every set is a bit different, from CDT, to Hybrid, to Focal, to any other nice brand. What speakers have you heard before? You need to go out and demo some if you don't know what you like in a component set. All that we can tell you here is what sounds best to our ears...but not necessarily to your ears.

thanks seth, Hybrid is a great set of speakers but runs a little more than most want to spend. I use their L3 and they are great. Demo'ing sets is definitely good to do and also listening to what others say about different speakers. Also you have to take into consideration the other equipment you're using too. Buying $500 components but hooking them up to a walmart amp run off a stock Hu using a LOC won't really do the components justice and probably make you think components suck and coaxials are better. So give us some details as to what you're using or planning on doing.
