I am looking for optimum performance to go along with my type R alpine sub. Right now I cannot enjoy the base because the speakers sound like crap.

I was wondering if you guys could tell me the best to get for component speakers (front and back), along with an amp for this.

my budget is $1000

forget the back speakers...
i would go with the alpine F550 for an amp. 250rmsx2 should be plenty of power.

as for speakers, well theres lots of great companies. what kind of sound are you looking for?
-harsh or mellow tweeter
-good or outstanding midbass
-3way comp set
