Can someone help my car electrician? my car (just bought) has a clifford g5 and a keypad in the car. The remote disarms and arms the car but the car wont start. The battery went flat during its (long) transit. The g5 was installed in Japan, and turnaround on answers from them is long.

I'm told what the PIN is likely to be, but figuring out whether the alarm is still immobilizing has everyone 'defeated' (their words). Knowing the PIN, and having the remote, what do we do to ensure the alarm is not getting in the way of starting the car? It may have a wireless remote immobilizer as well, but I'm led to believe that will cut out after 20 seconds, so the car would start and die. it doesn't even start right now. Everything else supposedly appears normal.

Any ideas? At this point the shop is wanting to flatbed the car across town to a clifford installer who has a laptop with software but .. I know the alarm worked a few months ago, and the car could be started, and I know the PIN, so is that necessary? what do I tell them to do?

What does the car do? Any sound at all from under the hood? Does the lights, heater etc work?

The car should start when you disarm with the remote.

everything appears to work per normal up to and including the starter motor, it is like the car has no fuel.
Hence the suspicion there is an immobilizer somewhere.

I keep reading and re-reading the manual on the AG5 blackjax (anti car jacking) and it implies the system locks everyone out until the pin is entered, but after a while silently, forever.. even over battery disconnections. Is that correct?

well to tie this topic up in the end the car did get taken to a place with the clifford software. they said the alarm checks out normally - and now the car starts - but has fouled plugs. shrug. I guess I'll never know if the alarm was the cause or not.
