I believe that this Clarion uses a hard-wired code and will require further information (The code for this model is NOT calculated using the Serial Number).

heya, my fingers are very tightly crossed in the hope you can help me. i have a renault clio rt from 1994 and because i am a learner at the moment it isnt really getting driven, anyway ive ended up not only disconnecting the battery so the stereo is locked but also put some codes i found in my paper work into it that were all wrong so now it wont let me put a code in. it says itll take 2 - 4 - 8 - 16 - 32 minutes of being left on to let me put one in again in between each try, but im not driving it so i cant really have it on that long, basically im a big pain the butt.
the only code i can find is on the back of the manual
NE558-77 11 092 979-04 1992
its a philips cassette radio, im not sure what else you may need for it....?

The radio will have to be removed from the dashboard so that you can quote ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY BARCODES , LABELS or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING.
There should be a 14 character Serial Number beginning with RG or RN or PH or similar (often found stamped in the metal casing ) and maybe a Security Number in the format of TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode so please quote EVERYTHING you can find |

However you can try asking here (for free ) on this other forum

If you do not register and log in
then the question will most likely be ignored and may not be answered.
The database required for this particular code is very scarce but I know that there is at least one person on that forum who has a copy ...provided he sees your question (and is not on holiday ).
If you do get an answer, would you mind letting me know the correct code as any information is always useful in trying to "crack" these codes

You have to quote the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the casing
note: $6.95 sounds cheap for a code |

Hi
Sorry mate, just placed the radio back in the car and this didn't work. Any other codes? might I be doing something wrong? When I press the change button (under the steering controller) for up to 10 secs as instructed, the radio beeps and goes back to CODE after about 3-4 seconds and then i have to wait again. The waiting time is now over 5 minutes.

The only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.
(There are usually two barcodes on one label. The one required is the lower one )

The battery died on my wifes Peugout 106 and since replacing it the radio now needs a code.
When we bought the car there was no documentation just a note of the immobiliser code.
If anyone can help

If you CANNOT find a code written on the radio or on a card in the glovebox (or similar "hidden" place ) then please read on
Please note:
The majority of HONDA codes are NOT readily available as access is required to the original factory database which is not commercially available to buy
HONDA radios are made by the following manufacturers
ALPINE
AUTOSOUND
BLAUPUNKT
CLARION
KENWOOD
MATSUSHITA
PIONEER
The only Honda radio codes that are available to be calculated for free from anywhere on the Internet will be radios made by
BLAUPUNKT.
These will have a Serial Number beginning with BP and another number beginning with 7 *** *** *** found on a label on the radio casing
UNFORTUNATELY ... NO OTHERS !
So you will be wasting your time posting code requests here for any other make.
BLAUPUNKTS ONLY with a BP Serial Number

For EVERY other HONDA radio made by one of the other manufacturers then visit the website below

If they cannot provide your code then you will have to try your HONDA Main Dealer or a Decode Service who will plug it into a laptop and electronically read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
