i have a better head unit than my standard speakers could take so need new fronts in the 306... 16.5cm diameter... i found some nice ones they were about £60/ $115 for the pair but the diameter of the back bit wont fit into fitting.. can someone suggest what would, or if i should carve out a bigger hole... the head unit has 4x52 W output... i like bass but a good quality aswell. also thinking of replacing parcel shelf speakers... any suggestions? |

Hey Doug, do you know the allowances for what WILL fit into the speaker hole? This would make finding a speaker quite a bit easier. What is your overall budget? Are you looking for a component system or coaxials? |

16.5 cm normal diameter, haven't measured anything else... will do tomorrow and write then... but dont really know exactly what to measure... and i have NO idea what coaxial or component means... but i dont want seperate tweeters... budget is prob £60 max without feeling guilty... but that gives lots of options i think. i just bought a set of JBL GT0627 with 60 watt RMS and 180 watt peak cos they sounded good in the shop and i thought they would fit... the other option is carving a new shape in the fitting place so they fit... but i wouldn't knowhow to go about this? |
