Hi, I looked at all the posts regarding the Jensen in-dash units and the "pink parking wire," but didn't find anything specific to the Jensen VM8013. Does anyone have this model? If so, how did you handle the installation with regard to this pink wire that's supposed to be connecting to "the switched side of the parking brake circuit (the part that becomes grounded when the brake is applied) ?

I've installed plenty of in-dash units before, but none with this extra wire.

If the connecting of this wire to its proper location is a pain, I wouldn't mind bypassing it. My intention is not to use this unit for playing DVD videos, but for extra capacity of .mp3 audio files on a DVD+R disc and an SD card.

Thanks in advance for any help/ideas!
