My mom got some free audiobahn speakers the other day and wants me to put them in for her which is fine, but I have never installed tweeters before and I'm looking for tips on how to go about this. They are 6 1/2 plus separate tweeter I think and model # is as 50q(an older version), and going into a 84 Accord. Thanks for any help. |

If the cars front speakers are in the doors, the easiest way to do it is mount the midrange in the factory speaker spot, then cut a hole in the door panel for the tweeter. If the speakers are in the dash, then you have to get creative and cut a hole in the actual door for the midrange, or if theres not enough depth, make an enclosure that you can surface mount on the door. Which is what I had to do, shown here:
