i hooked up my mtxtc6001 amp to my sub turned the car on no music playing amp started making weird noise and fried my rf p3 anyone know why this happend |

Possibly reversed polarity on power maybe??? |

please tell me you didn't hook anything up without disconnecting the negative terminal on your battery... |

i did disconnect then i connected everything to the amp put the ground back on the battery turned the car power on the amp powered up then started making weird noises like popping noises also the power and ground wire from the amp got hot i have no idea what caused it the amp just started sucking alot of current and fried my voice coils on the sub |

Sounds like the coils were out of phase with each other. |

Phasing of the sub will not cause the problem you had. Take this situation to a car audio shop in your area. |
