so ima put 2 kicker l7 12"s
in my 01 mdx, ported box..

which amp should i use to power it up?

Have you already bought the sub? If not, you will be better off getting dual 4 ohm coils.

What is your budget for amp?

yup, get the dual 4 ohms, so u can wire it down to 1 ohm, and get a hifonics bxi1608d or bxi2008d, unless ur budget is higher

aight guys
ima be spending about a grand on the whole system..
so.. $250? on the amp..
maybe 300 at most

the speakers is dual 4 ohm coil

go with a hifonics since your budget is kinda low. get the bxi2008 like posted above.

ok so let me think this through..
the subs are 750rms each which means
1500rms at 4ohms...
and if i parallel them i would get 2ohms
and more wattage right?
damn.. confusing

get a 1ohm stable amp and wire the pair down to 1ohm.
