I'm on the verge of puttin' (18) 10" subs in my '99 Nissan Sentra. ... The enclosure is too tall for the trunk ( 24" ). So my last hope is inside the cabin. * Note - Enclosure is 38"W x 24"D x 24"H - The subs are on 3 sides of the 6 sided sealed enclosure - Front, Top, Back * Questions: 1) Would I just need to wall off my car? 2) What would make it sound the best? Suggestions: 1) Completely sealing off the trunk from the cabin ( Making my cabin feel like an Ext. Cab Truck ) 2) Making sure no air is escaping from the rear ( out the trunk - completely deaden the trunk, but not completely sealing off the trunk from the cabin ) 3) Which direction would be the best choice? * Top facing the trunk, Top downfiring, Top upfiring, or Top facing the windshield * ..... All comments and advice ( Negative & Positive ) are welcome.. THANKS - DJ Tucker |

First, a question...Why? Are you going for the shock value of 18 subs? Or are you going for loud? Either way, w/ that box you will only have ~.6cuft gross per sub. And thats not taking into account bracing and sub displacement. In reality, you are looking at ~.45cuft per sub and ALOT of phasing issues. |

lol... Well, this is the same exact setup from another member of Ca.com ( Slabmaster ) ... he had it in a Cadillac Deville or something like that. The box was built for these particular subs. It's a 3 chamber enclosure - 6 subs per chamber. * And the wow effect is nice - F**K! 18 what... <--- HAHAHA * I really just want it to break the car ( I don't see how 180" of cone area wouldn't be able to accomplish that ) |

This would be a mess. x2 on everything Canaan said...the phasing would be horrible and the SQ would be even worse. |

area of a circle= pie x the radius squared so five times five times 3.15 thats 78.5" take that times 18 and thats 1413" square inches of cone area not 180" sorry if i'm the only one who finds that funny |
