I was wondering if it would be a good choice? I have heard some good and bad about them. I can get two ten p3's almost brand new for 300$, and i was wondering how good theey would fit in my 03 silverado sinlge cab. i also was wondering what would be the best amp to power them. I was thinking about a 1000. how much do the 1000 watt amps usually run.
i don need it to be the best quality but a fairly good one?

the AQ1200D is 1200 watts RMS and is $249 shipped

SQ = sound quality
SPL = loud
SQL = mixture of both

the subs you buy may depend on how much space you have

Your friend is not getting 180 db. The loudest spl measured in the world with the windows up on the dash is 180. something. And your not going to be hitting 160 db. You will probably hit in the low 140's with what your looking at sub wise. And the audioque 1200d does put out a true 1200 watts rms. They are a very respected company.
