im new to car stuff so how do amps even blow if the fuses protect it by blowing first? does it havta short circuit or sumthing inside idk how this works |

many reasons can cause an amp to bow. running it at too low of an ohm load. Wirering mistakes. crap amps that cant take the power its supplied with. In this case, its a blown Mofet on the power supply.

Heat, for one. If you push an amp past its' rated power the internal thermal limits will be exceeded and that in turn forces failure/meltdown of the internal parts. The lower the ohm load means less resistance and more draw/demand on the amp. If it says 1 ohm stable, leave it at that. Internal breakers can't always protect the amp from every possible failure. And like Marc said a quality amp can take some abuse while some cheap ones won't even perform as spec'd out. |

wat is input sensitivity on the amp mean from like 0.2 to 5? is this like a gain or how much power ur putting to it or wat? |
