I was given a lil 400 watt 4 channel amp. I want to hook 2 10" subs to it. Do i hook 1 sub to the channel 1 positive and channel 2 negative. And the other to channel 3 positive and channel 4 negative or what. Please help.

if they're standard 4 ohm subs you can bridge each pair of channels. It might be done the way you explained, but not all amps are the same. It should be identified on the speaker outputs which terminals are used to bridge the amp
