my friends right door speaker works on and off, and wen he turns the volume up it turns on sometimes, this is deff a HU problem right?

i was away, i do have a life outside the forum, anyway the speakers probably grounding out, it's typical and happens. the speakers + and - are hitting on the body of the car grounding out. or there is a nick in the wire to the speaker thats grounding out. the simplest way to find out it remove the speaker from the door and hold it in your hand, see if it shuts off. if it dosesent the coat the terminals + and - on the back of the speaker with hot glue or electrical tape and re install it. u will be fine, if it's the wire trace it back to the headunit find the bad wire and replace it or electrcal tape over it.
