a tribe called quest - the album low end theory. It's all lower end and a tribe called quest's beats are all jazzed infused.
that's some of my fav beats right off my head.

If people can please take a look at the list's of artists here, and find songs by these people that have not hit the radio but are still amazing, that is what the forum is looking for.

well could but but it is "top songs to play on subs" altho to me a top songs would be nomore than like 15-25 songs.
Crunk is okay but altho it hits (esp. some lil jon songs) some hit harder than crunk, as lil jon also makes beats for people for songs that aren't crunk. also some are looking to actually listen to the lyrics also, punchlines, and a good beat not just loud. The crunk I usually hear is simple beats (like beya beeya by lil jon or something)

I can think of plenty of songs that I would play on subs rather than just crunk music...I mean I wouldn't listen to crunk music this whole two hours I have to drive home when I go back home from college...I can listen to 70s music and still get a good pounding from my subs. Just as DJ Haka said its all about preference. And your preference is crunk thats cool. But the music I listed beats. |

David and Haka I suggest you too stop acting like you know everything about beat pounding music because I have not seen a single person give you props on your crappy suggestions. What gives you the right to come into this forums and pretend like you already know everything there is to know about this crap yet STILL post mainstream music, annoying music, music that doesn't bump, or songs on other peoples lists w.o giving them props.
If you guys were here when this forum started, everyone was talking bout how 36 or Wyte or Pat or Gotti was the music they wanted more of because it hits perfectly. Im not telling you that you should download only those guys, but i went out of my way to give people options for downloads. Becuase when i download something like Crash The Club by Lil Wyte, and i think its awesome but someone else doesn't. But they end up downloading Talkin Aint Walking by Lil Wyte, and absolutely loves it, then that means I gave them an artist they can further explore.

1.) im a dj... so i know more about music than the average person... being that i play it all day and.. well DJ. I dont go out looking for the hardest hitting music tho as I screw music up, so anything I have hit harder than anything you've prob heard just because its screwed... and i can give it a +10 or whatever db boost while its recording.. and it records that way. so I can turn anything to anything harder than u ever can imagine.
2.) what does mainstream music have todo with hitting hard? just b/c its out there and isn't underground doesn't mean it cant hit. if that's the case then all of UGK's underground stuff, eminem's also and others would hit soo hard i'd have a seizure if its all about underground.
and about lil wyte and pat and them.. well times change. one thing hits good one day, in some years something else happens.

and ya the system makes it. you can have a mid-system i say, and it hits ok.. then u add the best songs and u get the most out of it. But if u have a system twice or 3x's as strong it wont amtter unless u wanna go deaf. Its good to have a cd like that tho with the hardest... OR just a few songs you listen to alot and you know how they sound to rate other systems tho.. lika bass test

jmen, something else about that on sum chrome.. i just listened to it, and the opening "pocket full of stones" i was wondering where it came from.. and seems it comes from ugk - pocket full of stones. I heard it off a screwtape (from the one and only dj screw), 3 o clock in da morning part 2 to be exact, and he has that as a hook where he says it like 7 times or so, then this woman sings a bit. Then again it might be from another song 2 but i doubt it. |
